PT Bakrieland Development Tbk (Bakrieland) has been awarded as the Developer of the Year 2009 at the Indonesia Property & Bank Award 2009 event held in Jakarta on Friday (14/8). The same award was also secured by Bakrieland in 2008. The award presented this year is the fourth award event held by Property & Bank magazine.

Meanwhile Rasuna Epicentrum, a city property unit of Bakrieland, received an award as the Best Superblock and Vertical Residential. Ijen Nirwana Residence, a landed residential unit of Bakrieland received an award in Green Nature and Green Development category.

Property & Bank presented "The Developer of the Year" award to Bakrieland based on a number of criteria, including the growth performance of the company.

Bakrieland’s total assets surged from Rp5.7 trillion in 2007 to Rp8.3 trillion in 2008, or up 45.6%.  Its equity also increased from Rp4.1 trillion to Rp4.5 trillion, representing an increase of 9.8%. The company's total sales also rose 34.8%, from Rp782 billion in 2007 to Rp1,054 billion in 2008. The similar sharp increases were also seen in its operating profit and net profit, which soared 32.2% and 102.9% respectively.

In term of stock liquidity, Bakrieland stocks are the most liquid property stock listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) with an average daily trading value in 1H09 of above US$ 7 million.
