JAKARTA, 2 December 2009 — Demand for property products  including Bakrieland’s for the 9M09 showed a positive trend, and is expected to continue in 2010 in line with increasing purchasing power which is supported by declining mortgage rates. “Historically, the spread between BI Rate and mortgage rate was around 200-250 basis points. At the moment, the spread is too wide of around 500 basis points which means there is still more room for banks to reduce their mortgage rates” Hiramsyah S.
